WCI Communities, PGA TOUR Superstore and The Shark Shootout are pleased to introduce the inaugural Shark Shootout Summer Series. This exciting summer-long event will allow participants to experience elements of competition similar to the Shootout at five WCI golf courses, considered to be some of the finest golf facilities in Southwest Florida.
The Summer Series is a two-person team competition that will take place once a month at WCI golf courses including Pelican Preserve Golf Club, The Colony Golf & Country Club, Raptor Bay Golf Club, Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club and Tiburon Golf Club. During each tournament round, players will compete in the same formats featured during the Franklin Templeton Shootout--playing six holes of Modified Alternate shot, six holes of Better Ball and the final six holes of Scramble. Events will take place once a month June through October and points will be awarded which qualify players for unique prizes from PGA TOUR Superstore and WCI including the opportunity to have unprecedented access during the Franklin Templeton Shootout December 5-11. The series will feature both a Net and Gross division.
- Grand Prizes include Honorary Observer Experience at the Franklin Templeton Shootout, the Franklin Templeton Shootout Pairings Party and The Shark Club.
- Event Prizes for the five individual events include Complimentary weekend passes to The Collier Club, an upgraded hospitality suite located between the 8th and 17th holes of the Golf Course; Complimentary weekly Clubhouse passes to the Franklin Templeton Shootout; and Complimentary weekly Grounds passes to the Franklin Templeton Shootout.
- Each participant receives the following from PGA TOUR Superstore: $20 Gift Card at PGA TOUR Superstore; 45 minute practice certificate at the PGA TOUR Superstore; and a Nike Certificate giving each player a $20 discount with the purchase of Nike Golf Balls and $40 discount with the purchase of Nike Golf Equipment. The Nike Certificate must be used in one transaction and the person may purchase the balls, the equipment, or both.
- Closest to the Pin Contests winner for each event will receive a PGA TOUR Superstore Players Club Golf Membership. In addition, on one of the Par Three Holes, the PGA TOUR Superstore is providing a chance for a Hole-in-One $1,000 shopping spree in the Store.
- At each event, WCI will be providing five complimentary foursome certificates in a raffle drawing at the following five WCI golf courses: Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club; Tiburon Golf Club; The Colony Golf & Country Club; Raptor Bay Golf Club and Pelican Preserve Golf Club. All proceeds from raffle will benefit CureSearch.
- At each event, The Capital Grille will be providing four $100 gift cards to the First Place Winners of the Gross and Net divisions, four $75 gift cards to the Second Place Winner of the Gross and Net divisions, and four $50 gift cards for the Third Place Winners of the Net and Gross Divisions.
