The future of golf depends upon the youth of today. With a strong commitment to further promoting golf in Collier, Charlotte and Lee counties, WCI Communities, Inc. created the WCI Communities Junior Golf Foundation. WCI believes in supporting excellence in the sport and the classroom beyond the high school years.
The Awards
Each spring, the Foundation awards college scholarships to graduating high school WCI Junior Golf players who exhibit skill, talent and dedication both on and off the links. The Athletic & Academic Achievement Scholarship must be used for education-related expenses. Upon receipt of scholarship and acceptance to post-secondary institution, recipient monies will be sent directly to school.
Eligibility
Eligibility requirements are as follows:

Must be a current resident of Collier, Charlotte or Lee County, Florida

Must be a graduating high school senior

Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 system, or its equivalent

A sealed academic transcript is required

Must have participated in a WCI Junior Golf event (or similar tour* in the preceding year)

Must be a current member of the WCI Communities Junior Golf Foundation

Must provide copy of official documentation of SAT and/or ACT test scores
Additional considerations include:
*If new to Lee, Charlotte or Collier county and have not previously been a member of the WCI Communities Junior Golf Foundation, applicant must be able to provide documentation that they have participated in a similar junior golf tour in the preceding year to the scholarship application.
